The Christian products distributed by Jehovah’s Witnesses are offered without charge, and so it is technically true that they cannot be “purchased”. Of course, the Witnesses are generally happy to accept a donation toward their “Worldwide Work”.
.. ..(Matthew 10:8) You received free, give free.
While the literature and publications of Jehovah’s Witnesses are certainly compelling, it seems remarkably odd to refer to them as “too much hold on the people”.
What is a “Christian product?” We don’t use crosses in our worship so we wouldn’t purchase something like that. We believe that the cross was a pagan symbol that WAY predates Christianity, and we aren’t supposed to use images or idols in our worship so we wouldn’t (for instance) purchase a statue of Mary or Jesus or whatever.
However we can and do purchase Bibles (of various translations contrary to popular opinion), and Bible reference material. I shopped looking for a Strong’s concordance the other day as a reference to help teach the Bible to people. I didn’t purchase it because I wasn’t sure it was the one I wanted and not a more complete edition, but we are able to buy things of that nature.
Christians are not legalists. St. Paul made it very clear that we have no use for dietary laws. So we need no “Christian hot dogs.” In fact, you can buy plenty of Christian meat. It is called “pork!” We have no such laws. I love “bacon”! Bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon!
1 Cr 10:26 For the earth [is] the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.
1Cr 10:27 If any of them that believe not bid you [to a feast], and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
1Cr 10:28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth [is] the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof:
1Cr 10:29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another [man's] conscience?
1Cr 10:30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
1Cr 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Cute claim, care to back it up. I use “Christian” products all the time, like, oh I don’t know, my dozen+ Bibles, some purchased from a variety of stores.
Care to define “Christian products?”
Define or give more info with your question. You want to buy stuff from Jehovah’s Witnesses? Or you believe that they cant buy Christian stuff from others?
If you are Jehovah’s Witness then why would you want Christian products? You do not believe in Christ as the Bible reveals Him.
Why not? That makes no sense!
are jehovah’s witnesses christian? If not then you have just answered your own question
It’s against their practices, from what I’ve heard.
What has too much of a hold on people?
I don’t understand what you are asking.
They deny the deity of JESUS CHRIST!
jehovah witnessess have had their minds so twisted till it doesn’t surprise me one bit…
