Which Branch Of The Us Military Do You Think Has The Best Theme Song?

Filed in Category - Armed Forces Hymns

I’m not asking which branch is the best, just which song you think is best.
The Army Song (The Army Goes Rolling Along)
The Navy Song (Anchors Aweigh)
The Air Force Song (Off We Go Into the Wild Blue Yonder)
Hymn of the Marine Corps (From the Halls of Montezuma)

Hymn of The Marine Corps by far for Traditional
For Contemporary though, I would say the Army Strong Ad little song. It gives me chills every time it pops up on the Military Channel, and I am a tough kid but those ads get to me and I can’t help but smile and tear up a bit :D

Just heard Gene Simmons do a tribute to the Armed Forces. He and the guys with him sang all four songs, and ended up with “God Bless America.” In my opinion, they are all fantastic.

well the navy song is pretty funny… especially since it was originally like a navy football song… and then they kept the tune and changed the words… Next i think the marines excites the most patriotism… and then I would say air force, followed by army.

    Oh forget about it
First to fight for the right and to build a nations might and the Army goes rolling along
Proud of all we have done…
It the greatest i have been out for about a year now and i still sing it in the show along with the 101st song

Marines have the best song. The best line has to be the part about guarding the streets of heaven.
Army song is next. First to fight…
    Navy would be third.
Air Force is last. Their song is just too new sounding.

  16. ARMY STRONG! on July 29, 2009 2:10 am
