Chet was country, Les was pop, Jimmi was rock& roll, And segovia was classical. Just do the best you can, listen and learn what they teach. Eventually you'll find what is you and your style. Your best bet is to focus on guitar until you can play fairly well, singing and playing is not as easy as it looks and a lot of people struggle at it, you're better off learning one, then the other, and then the two will mix together much easier. I've been teaching guitar for over 20 years and singing is never something I've incorporated into my lessons. Even if you want to sing concentrating on just the guitar first is best before you even try. Latter after learning the basics only then will you know if its something you will want to pursue.
