“Original” as in FIRST, Jesus proclaimed, “Repent ye, for the Kingdom of God is at hand.”
Later he said that this Kingdom is “within You.” Later still, he elucidated that his kingdom was not of this world.
It is possible to infer that all of his words were “about” the crucifixion, but this skips over a lot of important wisdom.
His death was the physical event that ended the Age of Aries, the age of sacrifice, to bring us into the Age of Pisces. But he didn’t do it so others would also sacrifice themselves, but just the opposite, to show it wasn’t necessary.
The theme of the Gospel was repentance. The crucifixion offered forgiveness for previous sins based on one’s willingness to repent.
Just as the entirety of the New Testament teaches, and has been taught by the Church since.

I think the original focus was on Yeshuas message and his return. The early Christians was always waiting on and talking about his return. They tried not to talk about his death because in those days it was shamefull to die how he died and the romans and Jews tried to use it to discredit the Christians.
How could Jesus preach about something that hadn’t happened yet?
