I like most of our liturgical music, but my favourite is On Eagles Wings:
You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in His shadow for life,
Say to the Lord, “My Refuge,
My Rock in Whom I trust.”
And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
And famine will bring you no fear;
Under His Wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.
And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
You need not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
Though thousands fall about you,
Near you it shall not come.
And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
For to His angels He’s given a command,
To guard you in all of your ways,
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.

I’m not answering this question as a Christian…just as someone that has heard many “Christian” songs.
I say song because I don’t know the difference between a Christian hymn, gospel or Christian spiritual song.
Two that come to mind are:
How Grat Thou Art and Swing Low, Sweet Chariot.
Favorite Hymn is actually “Amazing Grace”… And yes it gets played in the Catholic Church.
Favorite Prayer is the Fatima prayer, given to the three Children by Our Lady of Fatima.
“O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy.”
In regard to the Bible speaking about repeating the same prayer over and over again, it is referring to repeating a prayer, any prayer without meaning. For instance, Jesus himself prayed the same prayer three times in the Garden before he was arrested.
My Favorite Hymn is Called shalom my friend
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urYm5SJSmCM&feature=related
and my favorite prayer is
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
None of us should have a favorite prayer. In Matthew, Jesus tell us that our prayers should be made in the order the words/sentences are made. In Luke, a man asked Jesus how to made prayers and Jesus used what we call the Lord’s Prayer as the order to line up our sentences/paragraphs to God. And we are told not to repeat prayers.
Adore te Devote is both
In English:
Godhead here in hiding, whom I do adore,
Masked by these bare shadows, shape and nothing more,
See, Lord, at thy service low lies here a heart
Lost, all lost in wonder at the God thou art.
Seeing, touching, tasting are in thee deceived:
How says trusty hearing? that shall be believed;
What God’s Son has told me, take for truth I do;
Truth himself speaks truly or there’s nothing true.
On the cross thy godhead made no sign to men,
Here thy very manhood steals from human ken:
Both are my confession, both are my belief,
And I pray the prayer of the dying thief.
I am not like Thomas, wounds I cannot see,
But can plainly call thee Lord and God as he;
Let me to a deeper faith daily nearer move,
Daily make me harder hope and dearer love.
O thou our reminder of Christ crucified,
Living Bread, the life of us for whom he died,
Lend this life to me then: feed and feast my mind,
There be thou the sweetness man was meant to find.
Bring the tender tale true of the Pelican;
Bathe me, Jesu Lord, in what thy bosom ran—
Blood whereof a single drop has power to win
All the world forgiveness of its world of sin.
Jesu, whom I look at shrouded here below,
I beseech thee send me what I thirst for so,
Some day to gaze on thee face to face in light
And be blest for ever with thy glory’s sight. Amen.
I am not a hymn type of person – but i really like “All Around Me” by Flyleaf.
Or “Faith Like That” – i don’t know who sings it though.
Prayers…the sinner’s prayer – because that is the prayer that will change your life…
Don’t have a favorite him. What do you mean about a favorite prayer? Praying is not for repetition. How do you say the same prayers over and over again when it is striclty forbidden?

Well, I have allot of favorites, but right now, well this meaning is important to me.
And I just pray from my heart and mind, as needed.
How great thou art is my most favorite hymn. St. Michale the archangel, Hail Mary and the Our Father and the Fatima prayer are among my favorites.
Favorite hymn: “Come, Let Us Join Our Friends Above” by Charles Wesley
Favorite prayer: Te deum laudamus (I say it in English though)
favorit hym ” I believe in magic, where the young at heart… yadda yadda… yadda”
favorite prayer : ” O my God… kill me”
Hymn would be “Amazing Grace” and my favorite prayer is my own talk with my Lord and Savior!
Abide with me is a favourite of mine and the prayer that Jesus Himself gave us is my favourite prayer.
My favorite prayer is the one Alan Shepard said before he blasted into space.
