I mean keywords like Jesus, heaven, sin, salvation, atonement and sacrifice which, to a Christian, seem to trigger a different response to a non-believer who is more likely to take the words at face value and remain unmoved by any perceived significance.

I’d say so. This goes for just about all religious stances too. There are certain emotionally-attached key words that show up often. Some people sound like they’re just reading a cue card.

Christianity has another language. It’s like its own subculture. It’s not really a theory. Certain aspects of the religion have been refered to by the same words within the itself for so long that they have picked up significance. This significance is not shared by those outside the religion.
