If not, what theme do they use? I swear, every local politician around here has either Amazing Grace or The Old Rugged Cross piping through their ads. Considering they’re all liars, it just adds to my image of them as hypocrites.

Where do you live? I saw one for a sheriff running in Memphis where he stood inside a church and declared his opponent was not a Christian…how’s that grab you? lol…here in Mississippi we have an ad against the Democrat running for the Senate which involves union goons terrorizing a little old gray haired lady…funny one that! lol…
We always have this guy who sings country and Elvis at our local gatherings. Or another guy plays classical piano, and does a Bill Clinton imitation that’s pretty funny. I haven’t paid attention to local ads on tv, so I don’t know what they’re doing. But if you hate the South, head north.
It may be more of a southern thing. Here in the North East people don’t usually associate religion to much with politics because there are a lot of different religions. I have never seen a person try to get elected on anything religious.
Interesting, I am guessing religion sells there.
In my area the only background tunes I hear piped through are sea chanteys and whaling ballads, It’s quite common here, has anyone else notice that in their area?
Kind of ironic, considering most politicians don’t exactly follow the teachings of the bible, especially during campaigns!
it depends on the venue, but they use it all over the US.
hmm, and here all along I thought “Rocky Loves Emily”
don’t hear much of that in minnesota
oh the south….haha.
I live in the North and I’ve never noticed them using Gospel music,
