I am a 37 year old female who always wanted to produce my own worship cd. Having no experience but is passionate in singing traditional hymns since early childhood. I know I still need voice training but realize that I would never know what its like if I don’t try. Most of the ancient & modern hymns I know by heart all versus. I also sing & feel more passionately with the organ and or any musical background. Singing hymns is my way of speaking to God and feeling closer to God. I would like to sing in cathedral one day but I’m too shy to make a first step. I read the previous answer of someone saying that record companies won’t even look at me without previous experience-well it does put me off to a certain degree, but for some reason I still believe if you really want to do something and believe in it, you can achieve it. Maybe sometimes you allow circumstances (being in a new country & finance) to limit your dreams & passions. Please advise.

Join your church choir. If you do not have one, find a local church that sings traditional mass. You can sometimes find connections to other outlets there. Good Luck!
Never give up on a dream if it’s from God. King David was 40 before he became king. Moses was 80 before he delivered Israel. Abraham was 100 before Isaac was born. Frankly you do have a long way to go to become professional, but the rewards of singing for God are not always monetary. God is bigger than circumstances and finances. Remember doing something for God always involves sacrifice.
