I am a Christian and I don’t have low self esteem. Because I worship and honor my creator does make me think I am low. He must be far more intelligent than me, after all, he created me. Its not just Christians anyway. Ask a Muslim if they regard themselves equal with Allah, I bet they say no. JW’s regard God as most high and that they are his servants.
You must think yourself equal to God? Not even close. Humans were formed from dirt, so I guess that’s not so bad, great thing God did to make a human from dirt. We know we are sinners and have more guts to admit we do than those who think they don’t. From our creator we seek forgiveness. Compared to God, we are nothing.
God, Jews, or Christians or Muslims or JW’s or Buddhist, do not say you are stupid, when you went to kindergarten did you not have to learn the alphabet and numbers and colors, etc. The fact that you had to learn didn’t make you stupid. You gained knowledge, therefore, increasing your intelligence.

Hate to burst your bubble but compared to God you are a wretch and so is everyone else. It is the fact that God loves us even though we hurt Him and put Him down that we talk about. Humans do suck but God loves us anyway, that’s beautiful.

I beleive most christians have a low self esteem and attack other people to make themselves feel better
i think you should listen to your heart and it seems to be telling you to leave christianity. here non christians are not demons or horrible people. we are very misunderstood.http://www.exchristian.net

Perhaps the spiritual self-mutilation, “filthy rags”, “wretch”, “slime”, comes from trying to humble ourselves.
In our culture, people are extremely proud, and GOD considers pride an abomination (makes Him sick). Some Christians may carry humility too far, which does sound a lot like low self-esteem.
Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12-Step programs refer to GOD as “a power greater than ourselves.” Hopefully, we can be healthy and righteous people, giving GOD the glory, yet still be humble and acknowledge GOD as greater than we are.

I can’t believe that if I truly believe I am made in the image of God. So wretches and worms, no, as God’s children I believe we are all the apple of God’s eye. And that’s a beautifiul thng.
