I like plenty of old church hymns. I’m Catholic, but here’s one that a lot of different denominations use. I’ve heard in in Episcopal churches, too. It’s called “Deck Thyself, My Soul, With Gladness”.http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/d/e/deckt…
And around this time of year, I love “Lo, How A Rose E’er Blooming”:http://www.oremus.org/hymnal/l/l189.html

I do not think I have any. There are some hymns I can not sing because it belongs to the blind faith Christians. But with all of them My soul prays as it sings to God. I like them all, I just do not like to hear them repeated. Maybe once a yr or something. There should be enough songs to sing a different one all yr round. So many ways to sing to the Lord and glorify him. Maybe if you can think of a song with seeking Gods face in it.
I wish there was more songs about walking in the Lords ways and being as righteous as God. For you walk in his glory. Because the grace of Jesus depresses my soul AND almost all the christians love the old rugged cross or songs of Jesus needing to be their Savior on a cross. So it is like when I sing to him these songs are not for you to give glory to me in…..it is like I am lying in the songs. So I do not get my fill in my worship unto him.

    Several.
And Can It Be that I Should Gain
    Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus
    Jesus, Lover of My Soul
O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
all by Charles Wesley from the Free Methodist Hymnal
    Amazing Grace by John Newton
    Power In The Blood
    Mansion over the Hilltop
    Follow Me
I Know Who Holds Tomorrow (Alison Krauss & The Cox Family do a great version of this one)
    Suppertime
    Unworthy
all by Ira Stanphill – soaked up through my skin at a young age from my great-uncle Frank’s radio broadcast and non-denominational Holiness Church They’re technically not really old church hymns, but more traditional Southern Gospel.
Morning Has Broken – picked up from the Cat Stevens version. I think it’s Anglican.
Really too many to list here.
For a comprehensive list of old hymns, a good place to start is http://www.cyberhymnal.org/ It has lyrics and MIDIs

I could give you a list that would choke a horse, my friend…………… I’m a Baptist — also, the church pianist………………
    Down at the Cross
    At Calvary
Are You Washed in the Blood?
    Jesus Paid it All
Since Jesus Came Into My Heart
When the Roll is Called Up Yonder
When We All Get to Heaven
    I Need Thee Every Hour
    In the Garden
We Have Heard the Joyful Sound (aka Jesus Saves)
    Amazing Grace
Just a Closer Walk With Thee
    To God Be the Glory
    I Surrender All
    Almost Persuaded
It Is Well with my Soul
That is just a few!!! Like I said, there are many more where those came from……………
    Hope this helps……………
    God Bless……………………….

Well, I’m Methodist, but my family’s Baptist…so I don’t really know how to categorize that…haha
