Comment posted Did Jesus Preach Paul’s Gospel Of Blood For Sin? by Jack the Giant Killer, BaC.
You missed the boat here.
Think about it…………
Jesus was always talking to Jews under the law-Paul was not.
Jesus came to save the Jews not the Gentiles-He said that Himself. The Jews rejected Jesus. Jesus gave the disciples the great commission at the end of Matthew- they did not do it. They stayed in Jerusalem! Only after this FINAL rejection did Jesus come back and call Paul. Then He sent Paul to the Gentiles with the New Covenant.

- Paul preached what was revealed to him by Jesus and what he learned from Peter. I don’t know where people get the silly idea that he preached something different.
- Paul preached about Jesus he never opppose it…But rather Paul explained it further…
- paul preached mostly about how his life was changed by jesus, and that was his ‘gospel’. he preached only what jesus taught, and this passage wasn’t a teaching of taking blood for sins; it was the story of stephen dying for following christ. the point of the story was to show that christians will be persecuted, and that god would bring great results from the believer’s suffering.
- Jesus offered up His own life as the Supreme sacrifice for the sins of the world. It was a blood sacrifice. He became the slaughtered Lamb that was traditional for the Passover sacrifice. At the last supper, Jesus told the disciples that the wine was symbolic of His blood to be shed for the sins of the world.
The great thing about Paul is his conversion. You didn’t mention that fact. In all of Paul’s writings, he talks about the sacrifice that Jesus made. How are Paul’s teachings any different? Paul’s letters are not even referred to as a gospel. They are called “epistles” in my Bible. Paul’s teachings do not oppose what Jesus taught about the kingdom of God at all. In fact, Paul’s teachings enhance Jesus’ teachings.
Jesus told His disciples that He had more to tell them but that they were not ready to hear it yet. He told them that the Holy Spirit would lead them into all truth.
Check out II Peter 3:15, 16. Peter (with whom no one seems to have problems) actually endorses Paul’s epistles.
Jesus says you must be born again. Paul says you must be born again. Where’s the difference?
Paul’s conversion happens in Acts 9. He changed from the persecutor of the church to a witness for the church.
- You asked, “Did Jesus preach Paul’s gospel of blood for sin?”
In answer to that, “Yes!!!!”, Paul preached the same gospel as Jesus, and he did NOT add anything that Jesus didn’t already either state, hint at, or imply.
Didn’t Jesus teach to bring an offering for sin? Yes, He did. He even told the lepers to go and present your offering to the priest. Did you even bother READING the very book you’re criticizing? The offering was an ANIMAL sacrifice! DUH!!!
Just try reading Leviticus without finding animal sacrifices, the innocent in place of the guilty!
And why did John cry out, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!” ??? Didn’t you bother even READING that? Or do you just ignore the parts you don’t like! A pure spotless lamb was slain at the Passover every year! DUH!
And it was Luke who wrote about Paul’s conversion in the book of Acts, so you have to throw out the entire gospel according to Luke, also, and everything in the other gospels that correlate and agree with Luke’s account!
Why not just tear out ALL the pages you don’t like? If EVERY body just simply removed the pages of the Bible they personally don’t agree with, you’ll have nothing left!
WARNING!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!!
DANGER, WILL ROBINSON!!!
DON’T MESS WITH GOD’S WORD!!!!
