I notice that many churches have put aside hymns for more modern songs that do absolutely nothing to fill my cup with joy.
I like the old hymns of the church but not necessarily performed by choirs.
Your view on hymns? Too old?

It’s disappointing to see the old traditional churches take the hillsong pentecostal approach to music, while that music is great, it’s all marketing and trying ti get people in seats, especially younger. I’m a die hard traditionalist when it comes to hymns even if I am an atheist
The old hymns are great. Some of the newer stuff is good too, but not the rock.
I think there is room for both.
I love some of the old hymns, but I also like some of the more modern ones too
I personally love the old Hymns, they have meanings
My problem is that they don’t stick to the same ones. There are hundreds of songs in the hymnal and they sing different ones every Sunday so I can’t learn any of them………..so I don’t sing. And that is sad because I love to sing hymns.

hymns are apart or should be apart of everyones life
whether you believe or not
the Old paths are taught and spoken of in these songs
tho i like all music , the modern music has no anointing
and is bland
