I am not a huge fan of wedding readers or soloists, because the bride and groom just stand there awkwardly. I have seen too many weddings where I didn’t like this practice. So, I would like to have all my guests stand together and sing a hymn. It has to be easy to sing, preferably something that many people would already know, but not too common. Themes of togetherness, new beginnings, love, family, etc. are all acceptable. Any ideas?

I really like it, but I only know the melody. In the movie Home Alone, it’s playing in a church. I think it has the lyrics “Down on my knees” or “down on your knees” in it. I think it’s a very old hymn, or folk song, it has a beautiful melody. Everyone has heard it, but most people are like me and don’t know what the title is. Please enlighten me.
