Who does the best job of spreading the gospel: Linus in the Charlie Brown Christmas Special, or professional clergymen? Linus delivers the gospel in a moving way that lots of people can relate to and even quote; many people watch it every holiday season. Professional clergymen usually have to rely upon people coming to their churches to receive their sermons, most of whom may already be inclined to believe. Who do you think reaches more people and spreads the gospel?

Sermon on the Mount was about how we have to change…
Not just a change in belief, but a real change in behavior… “turn the other cheek,” and so on.
Has the Sermon on the Mount been abandoned for another kind of “gospel” which emphasizes a change in belief, rather than a change in behavior?

A Gospel Enigma–did Jesus Miss Two Great Opportunities To Preach About Sacrifice For Sin?

Why didn’t Jesus preach Paul’s gospel of sacrifice for sin at the Sermon on the Mount. Instead he chose to preach “God forgives us when we forgive others.”
And after the crucifixion, we were taught that the old covenant was replaced by the new covenant. That would have been the perfect opportunity to preach sacrifice for sin, since the change JUST HAPPENED. Did Jesus forget to talk about it?
Did Jesus miss out on two great opportunities to preach Paul’s gospel of sacrifice for sin?

This is my guess: the Sermon on the Mount does not support Paul’s gospel of blood for sin (more on my biography) But that is just my guess.

Contrary To The “great Theologians,” I Think Christ Preached The Gospel Of J.c. Where Can I Find It?

Theologians say Paul/Saul preached the “Gospel of Jesus Christ” when he said “Christ died for our sins,” I don’t buy into that idea because Paul was the one who terrorized the first Christians. (more on my biography)
On the contrary, I believe that Jesus Christ preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and that the real gospel must be in the Sermon on the Mount, so will you help me find it?
We know that Christ was giving out the “key” to the Kingdom, and that in the Sermon on the Mount he said to the multitudes “Ye are the light of the World.” So the Gospel of Jesus Christ has something to do with the light he gave them long before the Crucifixion.
Now, right in the middle of the Sermon on the Mount, he is talking about HOW to have the light and says: “Let think eye be single.” And that would bring the good news of the light we can have within ourselves (and to support that, we know that a “double minded” man is unstable in all of his ways).
So is the good news that we already have the light within us, and all we have to do is “let thine eye be single?” Is that the real gospel from right in the middle of the Sermon on the Mount, that no one wants to see?

It appears that Jesus had most of his followers there, and I suspect that he summarized all the things they needed to know. So why did he forget to mention the plan of salvation? (Sacrifice for Sin)
But instead of that, he said if you forgive others, God will forgive you. And if you don’t fogive others, God will not forgive you.

Keep in mind, Saul/Paul was the one who terrorized the first disciples of Christ (Acts 7:58 to 8:3), so it shouldn’t be too suprising to find that his gospel was different (and even opposed) to the Kingdom Gospel that Jesus preached. (my reference.. http://gospelenigma.com which is a Bible interpretation based on Christ’s own words, rather that Paul’s letters)
So what do you think? I can’t find Paul’s gospel in the Sermon on the Mount… and not a mention of it when Jesus returned to his apostles after the crucifixion.

Perhaps the most important sermon in the history of mankind is the Sermon on the Mount.
And yet, I don’t hear much of that sermon from Christians, but I do hear them preaching a gospel that does not appear in the Sermon on the Mount.
The genuine Gospel just has to be in that Sermon on the Mount.
Can you find it? (hint: pick up a concordance and you will find all positive things about the “light” in thee, and all negative on “sacrifice.” More context on my biography.

Before there was a New Testament and before people had ready access to scripture, they were taught orally by the Church. The Church transmitted the deposit of faith orally from generation to generation. The gospel was taught through sermons, through music and through art, but mostly through the liturgy of the mass.
The mass teaches the gospel better than any other method.
In the early days, much was done by traveling people like missionaries. Other methods were letters sent on by couriers.
Catholics, who comprise the majority of Christians in the world, believe that it has never changed.
We believe that our church was founded by Christ and that he is leading it into all truth.
The point is that while reading the bible is a good thing in itself, you WILL need help understanding what you are reading, as the bible isn’t so much “A” book as a large collection of books of different types.

Its best to be wary of they who speak of the lack of necessity for “proper teachers”……they speak with a “forked tongue”.
How could you believe that all you need to believe in God and be saved is believe in the Bible only, if you never even saw one?

Jesus had the perfect opportunity to prepare people for the sacrifice gospel at the Sermon on the Mount… and he did not say a thing about sacrifice for sins.
And he surely would have said something about the importance of the Crucifixion after the resurrection, as he spoke with his apostles, but he did not. Jesus had already given the apostles and disciples the only true gospel.
Why in the world do Christians think that Paul would know more about the gospel of Jesus Christ than Jesus himself? (especially since Paul/Saul was the one who terrorized the ones that had accepted the Gospel that Jesus gave them.)
Time to wake up people!
Has that substitute gospel transformed you? Are you really a new person, or just the same person with different beliefs.

In the late 90’s when all the other preachers were on the “name it and claim it” kick one ,David Wilkerson, warned of hard times ahead. Telling everyone to not get in debt etc. I feel that others should be more honest with their sermons the feel good preaching may draw huge donations but it does nothing to help the congregations they are obligated to God to oversee. What do you think?
