Can Paul’s Gospel Of Sacrifice For Sin Save Anyone From The Sermon On The Mount?

Filed in Category - Gospel Sermons

The Sermon on the Mount is about a complete transformation, not just a change in belief. Do you think that belief in Paul’s blood sacrifce gospel fulfills the requirements of the Sermon on the Mount?
I say “Paul’s gospel” because Jesus did not think that the Crucifixion was good news for mankind (Click on my avatar for documentation).

Paul was preaching THE Gospel. God chose him to do it even though He had all those other people who walked and talked with Him while Jesus was on Earth.
So there is a problem here!
Either you are saying that God chose Paul and used a man who would teach it wrong, or you have it wrong. It COULD be that you are the one who doesn’t have it right . .. just MAYBE.
If God went around picking prophets in the Old Testament like what YOU are saying about Paul, then we are in a REAL mess!
So I look at what you are saying and I am thinking, this guy doesn’t know what Matthew 5 is REALLY saying!
Just floating one your way. You seem to think that you are a better judge than God?!

You have to read all that Paul wrote in order to see how it complements the Sermon on the Mount.
1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such WERE some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Romans 8:7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
Paul teaches about salvation by grace through faith with the result being that a person is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, made a new creation in Christ, and that they go on to do the will of their Father in Heaven by turning from their sins and doing good works that God prepared in advance for them to do.

Those who have experienced salvation have begun the transformation described in the Sermon on the Mount. It is the work of a lifetime–perhaps into the next life–for this transformation to be complete.
To me, the whole point of Christ saving us is this transformation.

The Sermon on the Mount is pure law, and can’t save a single soul. It’s intent is to make you give up, and drive you to Jesus for salvation as a free gift.
The only way to be saved and go to heaven and not the eternal lake of fire is by believing in this life that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and pray to Jesus and ask Him to save you. He will immediately!
