I guess somewhat. Though not really the singing part, but learning to play the piano might help you keep in rhythm better. I guess you wuld also be able to know how to sing different notes. But for the most part of it, not really. If you want to learn how to sing, listen to lots of different songs, and imitate, it’ll help (if that’s what you’re trying to do). Hope this helps
Oh yeah, neverless, learning to play the piano is not a bad idea by any means. It is still an excellent skill to have and increases your hand-eye coordination xD. Although it does not really help improve one’s voice, you can definitely sing along to some tunes that you play, which can be much fun.
Absolutely yes.
here are some advantages you can get from learning piano:
- it develops your ability in reading musical piece.
- it develops your sense of music (esp. pitch).
- when you sing, you can play the accompaniment for yourself (isn’t that sound great?)
- it develops your expressions in singing. playing piano has its own difficulties in expressing a piece / a song. singing is very much easier (because you use words and you use your whole body for singing, but piano, you only use your hands, fingers, foot, eyes – less than singing. so if you can play a piece on the piano and expressing it well, then I bet you can create great expression in singing).
have a great practice!
YES because if you are playing songs on piano and singing along with them, you will be practicing singing (thus making you better). Also, being able to sing and mimic what you play on piano with your voice will improve your intonation and your ability to precisely switch from note to note. Lastly, it’s easy to sing harmonies along with piano lines which improves your ability to sing harmony. This is the correct answer, don’t listen to everyone who said NO!!!
It wont help how well you sing,
but it might help technically.
it will help you with pitch, sight reading, learning songs, etc.
Piano is a great thing to learn.
ive been playing since i was 6 years old, and it has definitely helped me in choir.
But as for having a great singing voice, that just depeneds on whether you have that gift or not,
because lets face it.
If your tone deaf, there is nothing that can help.
yes, kind of.
if you know how to read piano sheet music, you should know how to with singing. for example, if you play middle c on the piano, and you know where it is, you know where the note is on singing sheet music, because they are basically the same.
it can also help you match your pitches. so if you try making your voice the same note on the piano, that will help.
but it really can’t change your voice.
good luck!
Yes. It can help you to sight read and be able to sing notes by ear. Also it makes great accompaniment to your singing.
Kind of, I play piano and sing and it helps me read the singing notes since piano and singing notes are the same pitch
No. There is no relationship between playing an instrument and your ability to sing. Both are gifts.
No. Playing piano will help you set the boundries for other future instruments. Plus you learn how to sight read.
Yes it can. It can help you with your pitch, making sure you know when a note is sharp or flat. I know because I am a singer.
unfortunately no
singing and playing piano are two very different things
Yea it teaches you to sight read…other than that no
