That makes no sense — the Bible makes ZERO mention of any background microwave radiation (which is what Penzias earned his Nobel prize for discovering and is the “echo” left behind from the Big Bang)…
Aaaaaaand your point is? It’s a quote from a religious scientist who feels that his interpretation of the bible coincides with reality. It just shows that Christians don’t need to panic about Big Bang theory because it can fit consistently with their beliefs. It doesn’t do a damn thing to prove the veracity of the Bible. For one thing, there’s that pesky problem about Genesis; even if you take it as largely metaphorical, there’s still the problem with light being created before any light sources. THAT doesn’t fit in with any form of scientific knowledge.

This has actually been discovered recently at CERN in Geneva. When Matter and Anti-Matter collide, even in small amounts, it can create a huge amount of energy.
Obviously a desperate attempt to reconcile his faith with reality. That is what faith does to people. It makes no sense at all.
I wouldn’t put too much credence in what one person says, even if he is a Nobel Prize winner. No other scientist in his field agrees with him. Remember, I doubt you do, Linus Pauling the Nobel Prize winner in chemistry. He touted vitamin C as the cure all of colds and flu. Studies have completely debunked his idea.
The point is that science demands that a hypothesis be tested and found to be supported by the evidence. In Dr. Penizias crediting the bible for how the Universe works he falls down on scientific merit.

It has been Scientifically proven that the Universe was all made around the same time the earth was. Its also a Scientific fact that you can only get life from life. The bible plainly tells us God is the source of life.

Fundamentalist web sites like to use quotes from leading scientists to promote their cause. Generally these quotes are taken out of context and misrepresented. Unless I know what Penzias actually said and when then I have no reason to believe that the quote, as you posted it, is accurate. Regardless, it would ultimately be his unscientific opinion.
